Construction site supervision, structural work stage

 

The seventies aren’t a popular year for suburb houses construction in France. A lot of them have been built according to the same pattern:beige textured stucco, brown tiles on a double slopes roof decorated with dormer windows on each side. We were approached to build an extension in front of a similar «ugly and ordinary» house. We decided to follow Robert Venturi and Denise Scott Brown guidelines, and use a conventional element to evoke associations from past experiences.
